I don't know how it was at your place but here everybody wanted to get married on July the 7th.
At one place they even conducted a wedding at the gas station as there was no more available at the town hall. The week before we did a wedding in
Regensburg, Germany. There they also expected if I remember well 80 couples for the 7th. Our wedding was at the beautiful castle of
Velhartice . There was also one out one in.
We were booked for this day already in January. It didn't even look suspicious then, only later when people started calling all for the same date. First from the immediate area, then from farther places in the region and later even from as far as Prague, all desperate to find a photographer. Our heart was braking to refuse them all but I think one wedding for a day is enough. Photogs of all specialization were called in to shoot weddings, there was just so much demand. We met one guy who seemed pretty unhappy about it.
Here it was also a long weekend, 2 national holidays just before Saturday. Probably this also added to the people's choice of wedding day but I think it was more the cool date. Husbands will remember the anniversary better.
This is all nice. The only problem with it is that is basically concluded the wedding season for the year. I think whoever wanted to get married, did it last week.
