Calling all digital carrier people - 2008/04/30 03:33 We started this forum originally to provide help for the customers of d-carrier.net. As you can see there was not too much use of it yet but once we already have it, why not extend it to others involved with digital carriers (converters, transducers or call them as you like) as well.

So calling everybody who knows or would like to know anything about digital carriers to take advantage of this forum. Future buyers, owners, experts, installers, anybody who ever even just seen one, everybody, hop on! Will snap for beer.

Re:Calling all digital carrier people - 2009/09/12 18:12 hi my name is luis ..i was thinking maybe you can help me i have a fuji sfa 278 and it do not print digital and i need to buy a digial carrier ..i would like to know whitch its the best option ..in price$$ and quality..if you can help me ..i will be very thank full..i live in las vegas u.s.a but my photo lab is in mexico my machines are in mexico so i am workng very hard here in the u.s.a to buy a digital carrier to update my machines to digital..so if you can help me please tell me whitch one and the price$$$ and if the photos come out ok..and as much as you can please ..because i dont want to spend alot of money for some thing that may be not worth it..thank you very much..

We recommend the EOP or Prismlab digital carriers. The most affordable is the EOP 1280 Plus but this one will leave a border when you print 8x12 pictures.
If you want to avoid that you can get the 2400. I'll PM you the prices. The print quality is pretty good on all of them if they are set up well and the LEDS are supposed to work for over 50 000 hours and once they're gone they are much cheaper to exchange then the lasers in digital minilabs.
The bigger question here is support and guarantee. Many companies gone down recently or started to manufacture something completely different and some of them totally forgot about providing support or spare parts. In my opinion at this moment these two companies have the brightest future. Regarding digital carriers of course. Will snap for beer.

Indeed the software is taking some time. According to my last information it is still not stable but when ready should be real cool. They say. I'll update on this when I'll have something new. Will snap for beer.
