Hi Luis,
We recommend the EOP or Prismlab digital carriers. The most affordable is the EOP 1280 Plus but this one will leave a border when you print 8x12 pictures.
If you want to avoid that you can get the 2400. I'll PM you the prices. The print quality is pretty good on all of them if they are set up well and the LEDS are supposed to work for over 50 000 hours and once they're gone they are much cheaper to exchange then the lasers in digital minilabs.
The bigger question here is support and guarantee. Many companies gone down recently or started to manufacture something completely different and some of them totally forgot about providing support or spare parts. In my opinion at this moment these two companies have the brightest future. Regarding digital carriers of course.
