 BlackRapid, Inc. was started by a professional photographer Ron Henry who was annoyed by the difficult handling that conventional camera straps offer and developed one that would not. The R-Strap is worn accross the body hanging from the shoulder, freeing the neck from the weight of the camera which often makes work very tiring. The camera is connected to the strap by the tripod socket and it hangs upside down by the waist ready to be grabbed. When the shot needs to be taken the camera will smoothly slide up the strap into shooting position. Having both hands free allows you to do other stuff while carrying your camera.Since the first R-Strap appeared, BlackRapid developed a whole line of them focusing on the needs of photographers form different fields. You will find straps for sport, double straps for those carrying more cameras and even one designed especially for women.
