Add a new unique service to cruise ships!

Hi everyone. Forgive me if I'm not in the right place to ask this?  But I need your help and advice.  I live in Sarasota, FL and have always had a real love for photography. I started my own aerial photo site (LoftyLens.com).  I am certainly not a professional photographer and would never claim to be so but I have always enjoyed it!

Recently, my husband and I have become distributors for an online greeting card company called, SendOutCards.com. It is a really unique business (the only one of it's kind right now).  I started using it for my aerial photo business as well as our construction business before I decided to become a distributor since I enjoyed it so much!

SendOutCards is based in Salt Lake City, UT and they just opened another facility in Australia.   It is a greeting card company that has over 13,000 cards online in over 300 categories.  The difference between SendOutCards and other card services (Hallmark, American Greetings etc) is that SendOutCards will print it, stuff it, stamp it and mail it for you.

We all know that when we take vacation and we are oversees, we buy postcards and mail them back home but we arrive before our postcard arrives!!!

That's what made us think about SendOutCards!  If you have a link to the internet and an account with SOC, you can take photos, upload your own pics and create your own postcard and it will be mailed from the US so it will arrive before you do!

My husband and I have been on many cruises.  We have researched and found that there are certain companies (called Concessionaires) that hire photographers for cruise ships.  We just came up with an idea to incorporate SendOutCards with the traditional photos offered on cruise ships.  Would if the photographers could offer not only a package with the photos but also a package to allow the customer to send a postcard with the photos your took, and send it from the cruise ship?  It would be an enhancement to the photo package you would normally market.

Anyway, we have ideas and can expand on that if anyone is interested.  We are just looking for someone's opinion on that?  Rather than buying a standard postcard and sending it back home, would if the cruise ship photographer had an account with SOC and could charge whatever he or she wants to send a postcard, 2-panel card or 3-panel greeting card back home with photos from the trip or cruise?

Please send me your thoughts on this.

Thanks

Kerry Baker
